2015-2016 was special. After being heavily focused on construction for a few years through our Working for the Future campaign, we thought we were ready to move on to life after hard hats, drilling, and dust. But God had a different plan in mind and we weren’t quite there yet. Thanks to the incredible generosity of a benefactor, our construction continued to complete final renovations on several spaces not included in our Working for the Future campaign (existing classrooms, science labs, computer lab, elevator and more). Our school has been transformed into the space our students deserve and if you haven’t already, I hope you’ll come by for a tour in coming weeks.
Through it all, the students of Arrupe Jesuit remained grateful, determined, faithful and steadfast in their work towards a brighter future. They attended retreats with their classmates, planned and participated in all school masses, made it to the playoffs in Boys Soccer, hosted Prom at the Museum of Nature & Science, livestreamed the Pope’s speech to Congress, heard from a Holocaust survivor, finished 8th at the Robotics State competition, went to work at 120 CWSP partner organizations, and for the tenth consecutive year 100% of Seniors graduated on time and were accepted into college (70% of which were the first in their families to graduate high school!).
