Jesus has been a wonderful addition to our staff. He is a self starter, who has great computer skills and can meet and greet our customers in a kind and professional manner. Jesus asks questions when he is unsure and provides staff support when he finds himself needing things to do.

As always, I am impressed with the level of professionalism Arrupe students possess.

Participating in Arrupe's Corporate Work Study Program has been a wonderful experience for Holland & Hart.  Alejandra, Armando, Joseph, and Susana have done quality work for us and each has demonstrated enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and an amazing attitude.  They are delightful members of our team and have contributed to the firm's success this year.  The future of our workplaces, communities, and world in general is shining brightly in the hands of the youth of Arrupe Jesuit High School.

I just wanted to thank you for the fine job the Arrupe program does in preparing its students to come into the corporate world and succeed.  As you may know, we have taken on non-Arrupe inner-city school youth through another organization's program for the summer, and here are some of the items we have had to discuss with her since she started one month ago:

• appropriateness of dress;
• often comes in late;
• often leaves early;
• has had spotty attendance;
• spends excessive amounts of time on the phone and internet.

To her credit, she has not been defensive but has vowed to do better.  We see these youth hiring programs as mentoring opportunities for us to assist these youth in learning how to success in business, so it is no problem for us to meet with them and teach them.

However, that being said, we have not had to have a single conversation with either of our Arrupe students all year about any of these issues - evidence that what you are doing at Arrupe is working, that your training program is thorough and your students are learning and assimilating the information into their business lives!

Thanks for the quality of young people you are sending us, and for the Arrupe program.
