Corporate Work Study Program Evaluations
Each year we ask Work Study supervisors to evaluate the work being done by the Arrupe students they employ. Their feedback helps us to challenge students to high levels of performance and ensures that we are providing value to the businesses that are investing in our students.
Employers rate students in eighteen areas of job performance, including punctuality, reliability, initiative, work accuracy and speed, time management, and their ability to communicate effectively. They also provide an overall evaluation of performance:
Outstanding:
You would hire this person immediately if they were available. You would certainly ask them back for next year. They have set themselves apart from other students and other entry-level employees of any age.
Very Good:
Your company is getting their money's worth (and more). The student provides accurate and efficient work. You are very pleased and find the student reliable and responsible - much more so than a typical high school student.
Good:
Your company is getting their money's worth. Performance of student is acceptable. Your student is meeting standards and objectives.
Marginal:
The student is questionable. Performance is below expected standards. They do their work, but do not consistently demonstrate initiative.
Unsatisfactory:
The work product of the student is unacceptable. You are reluctant to assign certain tasks because of anxiety as to whether they will be completed accurately. They are definitely not of the caliber of most other students in the program or entry-level workers in general.
