Motivated by generosity and an attitude of self-giving, members of the Arrupe Volunteer Corps, serve the family of Arrupe Jesuit High School in the classroom, on the athletic fields, in school activities, and in the Corporate Work-Study Program.
Job Possibilities for Arrupe Volunteers include:
- Academics
- team-teaching with an experienced teacher in Math, English, Science, Spanish, or Social Studies
- independent teaching in Computer Applications, Public Speaking, Pre-Algebra, or Study Skills
- one-on-one tutoring and small group work
- Student Activities
- moderating clubs: yearbook, newspaper, art, photography
- social events: dances, pep rallies, fun nights
- Athletics
- coaching opportunities in volleyball, soccer, track, basketball, wrestling, and softball
- assistant athletic director
- Corporate Work-Study Program
(CWSP)
- training and supervising student workers
- transportation to/from job sites (all Arrupe Volunteers assist with CWSP transportation)
- Admissions and Recruiting
- visiting elementary schools to recruit students
- welcoming visitors to Arrupe
- maintaining the school web site
